Bronx Independent Living Services, Inc. (BILS) is a not-for-profit community agency serving people with all kinds of disabilities. Our mission is to empower people with disabilities toward living independent lives. We assist individuals by providing advocacy, peer counseling, housing information, and independent living training/counseling. We also work to educate and advocate for legislative and social change so that people who have disablities can live more independently. We educate people about their civil and human rights, and work on providing access to the tools and means necessary to insure those rights.
